A cervicogenic headache is a type of headache thought to originate from structures in the neck. Pain is felt in the head but is generated by or referred from the cervical spine. Diagnosis is made by a qualified provider based on history and examination.
Can whiplash cause headaches?
Headaches are commonly reported alongside whiplash. Some post-collision headaches have a neck-related contributor, while others may have different causes. An evaluation helps clarify what is going on.
